Trial Scheduled For Tenants Harbor Man Accused Of Murder

ROCKLAND - A Tenants Harbor man accused of killing a friend with a shotgun will face trial in November of next year.
Andrew Kierstead was in court yesterday in Rockland, where Justice Jeffrey Hjelm ordered he undergo a forensic examination to determine if he is fit to stand trial.
The 40-year-old Kierstead was arrested September 27th and accused of shooting 48-year-old Richard Mills of Cushing.
Police say Kierstead told them he repeatedly shot Mills with a shotgun because the victim hooked him on drugs and supplied them for years but then stopped doing so because Kierstead owed him money.
