ORONO - More than a hundred local businesses were looking for new employees and interns Wednesday at the University of Maine.
It was all part of the Career Center's annual job fair. Organizers say they were impressed with the variety of employers represented.
"Networking is key," says Patty Couniham, Director of the University of Maine Career Center. "What better way for students to get experience networking and making contacts and learning more about what opportunities are out there. Even if they're not actively looking for a job they can learn so much just by coming to the fair."
The event is designed for students of all ages and majors.
The one day-event wrapped up Wednesday afternoon.
