BANGOR - We're learning new information as the investigation continues into a Bangor dragging death.
Police have released the names of those involved in Saturday's accident that killed an area transient.
The victim has been identified as 43 year-old Larry Furbush. Police say the driver of the vehicle is 48 year-old Darren Matheson of New Brunswick.
Authorities say it appears he was driving to the Union Street Hannaford when he hit Furbush on Vermont Avenue, without realizing it.
Police say he didn't discover Furbush until he parked and went to leave his car.
Weather conditions, poor visibility, and Furbush's dark clothing are all considered factors in the accident.
Police also say there was no indication at the time that Matheson was under the influence, but toxicology tests are still pending.
So far, no charges have been filed.
