Healthcare Exchange Deadline Shifted One Day

NATIONWIDE - People trying to sign up for health insurance on the new state and federal exchanges will have an extra day to do it.

Tuesday is the new deadline in order to be insured by January 1st.

A White House statement cites "high demand and the fact that consumers may be enrolling from multiple time zones" on HealthCare.Gov, the federal website for the new exchanges.

One of the people who will be enrolling is President Obama.

Presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett told American Urban Radio that the President will be enrolling by day's end.  The First Family is spending the holidays in Hawaii.
