Computer Science Students Compete in Game Showcase

ORONO - A group of University of Maine students had the chance to experience what life after graduation may be like, simulating a gaming conference atmosphere to see where their skills lie.

It's a room buzzing with college kids and video games. But these computer science students have spent their semester creating software programs.

The student game exhibition, held in Jenness Hall's Soderberg Center, allowed groups to compare design construction, and reflect on the challenges of the project.

Thursday they not only had to present their computer games but pitch them to their peers and the public as well.
