OLD TOWN - Well you know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixon, but Sunday kids and adults were able to meet some of Santa's other reindeer...well, sort of.
The UMaine drill team hosted its annual 'Meet Santa's Reindeer' event at the Witter Farm in Old Town.
Greater Bangor area residents were able to meet the University of Maine Mares in addition to enjoying some snacks and making holiday crafts.
The annual event is held as a way to help spread awareness about the farm and get the community involved.
"We get donated mares here, they're standard bred horses from the race track. So what we do is go and turn them into pleasure riding horses to give them a second chance in life," Bethany VanGorder, Captain of the Standard Bred Drill Team, says. "Sometimes standard breds have the harder times as horses."
"We really coming here and seein the horses," Grace, a little girl of Old Town says. "Especially this one with the bows in her mane."
Though these four legged's were not Rudolph and his clan, the community is encouraged to swing by and visit with Francis and Susie!
