ORONO - Instead of going out and buying a wreath from a big box store, how about shopping locally, or making your own?
The University of Maine Page Farm and Home Museum is holding its 15th annual wreath making workshops.
The classes teach participants how to make their own holiday décor, and appreciate the work wreathmakers put into their products.
"The first run is always a little rough, but they always come out really nice," explains participant Kassandra Mores.
Director Patricia Henner adds, "It fosters an appreciation for what these folks do that rely on wreath sales at this time of year."
Classes cost $15 per person. Registration is required. For more information call 581-4100.
