ORRINGTON - As you make your Christmas shopping list, it's sure to include your family and friends. But this year, there's another gift you may want to consider giving. Our Erin Thomas explains.
"The power of a simple gift."
It's the message an evangelical Christian humanitarian organization will be teaching to millions of children around the world this holiday season.
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered the gift to over 100-million kids, bringing hope to war-torn and devastated countries.
Putting together a box couldn't be easier. Leave out liquids, chocolate, and toys associated with war, and include school supplies, stuffed animals, hygiene items, and candy.
Boxes should include $7.00 to cover shipping and handling fees. Print a label, selecting the age and gender the gift is intended for, and bring it to your local collection site.

Boxes can be dropped off everyday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through next Monday at the Lighthouse Church of God in Orrington.
