UTC Donates to Make-A-Wish

BANGOR - Local high school students are collecting change, to make a change in the lives of children.

Students taking classes at the United Technologies Center in Bangor emptied all of the money from their vending machines to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine. Donating nearly $700.00 to the charity.

The school will hold a "coin war," that will make up for the money taken out and raise extra funds to be donated as well.

Officials say the money will be extremely helpful in granting a child a wish, each of which costs around $6,000.

Make-A-Wish Maine grants a wish about every five days.
