PROSPECT - A dozen foreign exchange students from the University of Maine celebrated their last day of the fall semester touring a historic Maine landmark.
Students from the Intensive English Institute wandered the stone halls of Fort Knox Thursday, embracing the mystery and history behind the fort.
This was their first time touring the site and instructors hoped the students were able to take in some Maine culture, learn a bit more English - as the program is designed to do - and just have a fun time.
"The structure is one of the most impressive things here. The place itself and the scenery are beautiful. The kids can't stop taking pictures," Eleanor Kipping, ESL (English as Second Language) instructor, says.
