October: Dyslexia Awareness Month

AUGUSTA - To raise awareness about a language-based disability, Governor Paul LePage has proclaimed October as Dyslexia Awareness Month.


Governor Paul LePage joined members Project D.E.B.U.N.K at the Maine State Library, Monday morning, to proclaim the month of October Dyslexia Awareness Month.


The International Dyslexia Association estimates 15 to 20 percent of the population have the disability and have difficulty spelling, writing or mixing up words.

Clay was hired by WVII/WFVX as a morning anchor for FOX BANGOR's 7AM News Hour and as reporter for the 6,10 & 11 o’clock news in July 2011.

He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington where he received his B.A. in Journalism. Clay has worked at Fox National News in New York, WTIU in Indianapolis and the Big Ten Network.

In his free time, Clay is a firefighter for the Holden Fire/Rescue Department in Holden and is an avid hockey fan.
