BANGOR - The trial of a Texas man charged with selling cocaine in Maine is set to begin Tuesday.
Apolinar "Polo" Ortiz Islas, 42, of Houston, Texas was indicted in August of 2012 on charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distributing 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.
4 accomplices have already plead guilty, but Ortiz Islas denies being a part of that conspiracy.
His trial is expected to last 4 days. If convicted he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison and 10-million dollars in fines.
