FORT FAIRFIELD - An attempted traffic stop turns into a high speed chase in Aroostook County early Friday morning.
According to the Maine State Police, at around 12:20 Friday morning, troopers tried to pull over a 2007 black Chevrolet truck for speeding in Mars Hill.
The driver, 33 year-old Jonathon Holt of Hartford, did not stop.
A chase ensued north on Route 1A with speeds topping 100 miles per hour.
Fort Fairfield Police deployed spike strips, which disabled the tires on the truck, but the chase continued until the vehicle got stuck on a grass road.
Holt's is charged with Operating Under the Influence, Eluding, Passing a Roadblock and Driving to Endanger.
