OLD TOWN - Folks in the greater Bangor area will soon have the chance to learn about keeping their families healthy and improve their cooking skills.
The University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a five-part workshop series, "Eat Well Nutrition," at the Old Town Public Library.
Through hands-on activities, participants will learn how to save money on groceries, enhance get a little better in the kitchen, keep foods safe to eat, and try healthy recipes for the whole family.
Classes, which are set to start on October 30th, are 60 to 90 minutes long. Attendance at each is required.
