CORINNA - We now know the names of the three individuals involved in a serious car accident in Corinna Monday night.
Police tell ABC 7 and FOX 22, 22 year-old Deanna Carfagno of Sangerville, 22 year-old Brennan McGeoghegan of Guilford, and 20 year-old Reginald Melvin, of Dexter are still in the hospital Tuesday night with serious injuries.
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says it appears the trio were not wearing seat belts, and Melvin was ejected from the car.
Officials say the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Speed is likely a factor, and alcohol is a possibility.
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office initially responded to a call of a vehicle that was rammed from behind by this trio's car on Route 7 in Newport.
The woman that incident was able to follow the vehicle into Corinna turning onto Nokomis Road where she came across the car overturned on its roof.
