Eliot Cutler Announces Campaign for Governor

BANGOR - A Maine gubernatorial candidate officially kicked-off his campaign in Bangor this morning.

Independent Eliot Cutler announced his campaign at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor Tuesday morning in front of local dignitaries and friends.

Cutler, no stranger to campaigning for the Blaine House, finished just shy of Governor Paul Lepage back in 2010.

The independent told ABC-7 and FOX 22 that he intends to win this time and he has a plan for Maine.

Cutler outlined his campaign platform, which includes his stance on same-sex marriage, abortion and universal firearm background checks.

Bangor's Mayor, Nelson Durgin, says he stands behind Cutler’s policies.
