Wardens Warn Anglers On Thin Ice

Maine game wardens are warning anglers that they're on thin ice.
Literally.

The state saw its first death from thin ice conditions last week when a 17-year old boy fell through the ice, and wardens want anglers to realize that the ice forming on some small ponds after a cold night isn't thick enough to support a person.

Wardens say ice should be at least four inches thick before it's safe to stand on for ice fishing.
