WATERVILLE - The Fairfield woman accused of abducting her own children made her first court appearance today.
34 year-old Bethmarie Retamozzo is facing two counts of criminal restraint by a parent.
She did not enter a plea in Waterville District Court today.
Police say Retamozzo fled with her two children -- whom she did not have custody of -- during a visit back on August 15.
She was later caught in South Carolina -- where she waived extradition before being brought back to Maine.
She is being held at the Kennebec County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
Also facing charges in connection with this case is 37 year-old Jennifer Dore of Benton.
She was the court-appointed visitation supervisor who police say allowed Retamozzo to drive away with the children.
She's charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
