Wreaths Across America Convoy Heads for Arlington National Cemetery

Media

BANGOR- It's a lush, green symbol of the holiday season, often seen hanging on front doors and lamp-posts...now thousands of Christmas wreaths will decorate the headstones at Arlington National Cemetery, all to honor america's fallen heroes.

Each year the Worcester family leads the Wreaths Across America convoy from their home in Herrington, stopping at Dysart's in Bangor, and continuing down the east coast, to Virginia.

In the 21 years they've been doing it, the support has only grown.

Maines first family, military officials and veterans, as well as several Gold Star family members are all part of the nearly 700-mile escort.

And more than 80 trucking companies and drivers have volunteered their time to make it all possible.
