Small Businesses Celebrate Bangor Saving's Bank

VEAZIE- Several area small businesses came out to celebrate one Maine bank's willingness to lend, and support state commerce.

The Small Business Administration recognized Bangor Saving's Bank  for its leadership in loaning to "mom and pop" businesses.

There are nearly 150,000 of them in the pine tree state, comprising 97% of all employers in Maine.

Several of the business owners on hand for today's program said Bangor Saving's helped them make their ideas a reality.

Moe's Original BBQ, Pack Baskets of Maine, and Qualey's Granite and Quartz joined in celebrating the achievement.

Bangor Saving's has loaned more than  $2 billion across Maine over the past four years.
