UMaine Nursing Students Raise Money for Service Trip

BANGOR/ORONO- Some University of Maine nursing students are asking the public to come out and support their fundraiser tonight, aimed at sending the group on a service learning trip to South America.

The aspiring nurses will be at Bangor's Texas Roadhouse from 4 to 8 p.m.

Every dollar they raise will fund a planned nine-day trip to Belize in March, where they will be put their skills to work helping those in a third-word nation.

Members of the public can help send the nursing students to Belize by logging on to www.UMaineNursingInBelize.blogspot.com,
and printing off a flyer.

Customers who present that flyer will have 10% of their bill directed toward the mission.
