TOWNSHIP T2-R8 - A car accident Sunday morning near Lincoln on I-95 has left five injured and one dead.
Maine State Police say 19-year-old Tyler Anderson, of Van Buren, was having a conversation with a passenger in the vehicle when he accidently hit the rumble strip on the side of the road.
Alarmed, officials say Anderson overcorrected the steering wheel, causing the car to roll over several times into the median.
Anderson was partially ejected from the vehicle, while another passenger was fully ejected.
The Lincoln Fire Department had to use the jaws of life in order to free a passenger from the vehicle.
Life flight was called in, however it was too late for Anderson. He died at the scene.
The five other passengers are being treated at Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln for non-life threatening injuries.
