Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident on Troy Road in Detroit

On December 05, 2012, at approximately 6:17pm, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a motor vehicle accident, on the Troy Road, in Detroit.  Deputy Wilfred Dodge responded to the scene and he is investigating said accident. 

The accident involved one motor vehicle, which at the time of the accident, was traveling from Troy towards Detroit.  The motor vehicle, a silver 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, lost control on a curve and left the roadway.  The Cavalier rolled over several times, ejecting the driver, who was the only occupant of the motor vehicle.  The driver, JOHN C. KLEIN, age 48, of Troy, passed away at the scene.  The Cavalier was totaled in the accident.

The accident is still under investigation and it appears that speed may be a factor in the accident.  Deputy Dodge was assisted at the accident scene by Deputy Jeremy Leal, Deputy Don Avery, State Police Trooper, Chris Carr and the Detroit Fire Department.
