EAST MILLINOCKET - The Florida resident who won the record setting powerball jackpot back in June plans on donating money to one East Millinocket school.
According to the Bangor Daily News, Gloria MacKenzie, a former East Millinocket resident herself, has offered to donate $2 million to repair the roof at Schenck High School.
This donation comes after residents of the area have wrestled with the issue of paying for the leaky roof all year.
According to Superintendent Quenten Clark, MacKenzie's daughter, Mindy, teaches biology at the High School, and her son Larry has served as a member of the school board and was a selectman.
