Sentencing of Former Husson Basketball Star Postponed

BANGOR -Former basketball hall of fame inductee, Dana Wilson, making a court appearance today after a judge had previously found him guilty for posession of sexually explicit material of a minor.

A judge was expected to announce the sentence for 62 year old Dana Wilson after the Brewer resident plead no contest earlier this year to 1 count of possesion of child pornography.

However that sentencing didn't happen.  Attorney Jeff Silverstein asked the court for the trial to be continued because Wilson's therpist couldn't testify today due to a scheduling conflict.

Wilson believes his therapist will help  his case in telling the court that while the 2010 incident occured, his life was falling apart.

"There were things that were going on as his marriage tended to crumble at that point in time," Says Silverstein. "And while his children were adults, they were engaged in some questionable conduct."

Before Wilson could make his way out of the courtroom, the Judge stated, "It would be good to bring this matter to a close for a lot of reasons."

Wilson is expected to be back in court for his sentencing on August 20th at 1 p.m.
