Maine Forest Rangers Honor Fallen Arizona Firefighters

Maine Forest Rangers and Ranger Pilots honored firefighters who died in Arizona this week.

The rangers and their support staff observed a brief stand-down and a moment of silence today at 9:30 a.m.  Nineteen members of an elite wildland firefighting team were killed Sunday when they were overcome by a fast-moving fire in central Arizona.  Maine's rangers are joining all other state, federal, and tribal wildfire agencies across the U.S. in this morning's stand-down.
