BANGOR - A whopping 40,000 people are expected to attend Wednesday night's Phish concert on the Bangor Waterfront, and one local supermarket is preparing for the influx of these "Phish-heads".
Shaw's Supermarket on Main Street, right across from the concert venue, has been stocking its shelves since last weekend.
"We've tanked the store with every beverage known to man, as well as health bars, snack bars to candy bars, to chips to soda. You name it, we have it," store director, Mark Robson, says.
Robson says he expects popular items to include water, because of anticipated heat and humidity, and snacks that can easily fit in a pocket, like protein bars, should also be in high demand.
The store will be open normal hours - 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow.
