DEDHAM - New this summer to Camp CaPella: overnight camping. It's all thanks to volunteer efforts from the community. Our Erin Thomas reports.
This bunkhouse is now ready for summer campers at Camp CaPella on Phillips Lake. A ribbon cutting Tuesday morning honored the hard work of those who care.
Maine Oxy partnered with the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, a local electrician, and others, to winterize the bunkhouse. Adding much needed insulation and heat.
Meaning that camp will now be open, year round.
With it's classic look, the bunkhouse is ready to welcome it's first group next week, and is sure to put a smile on the faces of both new and returning campers' alike.
