BREWER - It was all soap, bubbles and water earlier tonight at Brewer High School as students held a benefit car wash for one Dedham family.
The Davis's lost their house to a fire in May, the blaze taking clothes, food and many household items.
Today's car wash and bottle drive were aimed at helping the family start rebuilding their lives.
Students say holding this event is just the kind of thing the Davis family would do for others.
"They're just humble people and would never ask for the help, so we're more than willing to do this for them. If this happened to anybody else, they'd be one of the first people in line helping out, so this was something we definitely wanted to do for them," Brewer High School graduate, Lindsay Nutter says.
"They're a really great family so there's no way we wouldn't help them as a community," Junior, Rachel Karp says.
A spaghetti supper is also scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd at 5:00 at Dedham Elementary School.
