AUGUSTA - After several weeks, the State Medical Examiner's Office has finally released its report concerning the death of 15 year old Nichole Cable.
The report says the Glenburn teen died from asphyxia, caused by compression of the neck.
The Cable case is one that has touched the lives of many across the region. First, when she was reported missing last month -- and then outrage when her body was found a week later in Old Town.
20 year old Kyle Dube of Orono is now charged with her murder. Investigators have since said Dube posed as someone else on Facebook in order to lure Cable from her home.
That's when State Police say Dube abducted her -- while wearing a mask.
The Medical Examiner's Office says Thursday's findings were released following consultation with the State Police crime lab -- which has been reviewing evidence in the case.
