Gay Marriages Can Begin December 29th

Voters approved gay marriage last month by a margin of 53 - 47%. EqualityMaine says Governor Paul LePage signed certified election results on November 29th, which means gay marriages can begin 30 days later. December 29th happens to fall on a Saturday this year and it's not known whether any government offices will be open that day to issues marriage licenses.
