BANGOR - The first concert in a summer-long tradition kicked off Thursday in downtown Bangor.
Brian Catell & the Jump City Jazz Band performed in the first 2013 "Cool Sounds Concert."
Through August 1st, the public will be able to enjoy a variety of free concerts in Pickering Square.
Brian Catell & the Jump City Jazz Band has a versatile repertoire of jazz, swing, pop, and rock pieces.
The concerts also run in conjunction with the Fresh Air Market on Broad Street (5-8 p.m.), and it was clear that those in attendance were having a ball.
"I think it's a nice community event, and I know that there are people from out of town that come to this just because they like the music, they like the variety," Bangor resident, Tammy Denning says.
If you missed tonight's concert, be sure to check out the Juke Rockets next Thursday night starting at 6:00 p.m.
