Nelson Trial Heads Into Second Week
The murder trial of a Norridgewock man accused of shooting another man to death will go on to a second week.
Prosecutors originally said they expected the trial to wrap up by the end of this week, but that simply wasn't the case in somerset county superior court today.
41-year-old Robert Nelson is accused of killing Everett Cameron of North Anson on halloween three years ago.
Justice john nivison ordered the trial to resume monday which will allow the state to gather more evidence.
Nelson had previously waived his right to a jury trial, therefore justice Nivison is hearing the evidence and is expected to render a verdict sometime next week.
