Lawyers Offer Legalize Advice at Bangor Public Library

BANGOR - Community members were offered free legal advice from local attorneys at the Bangor Public Library, all as a part of Law Day.

Attorneys across Maine participated in "Lawyers in Libraries," a free statewide event, aimed at providing resources and assistance to people in need.

This was the first time lawyers met with the public on Law Day, which falls on May 1st, but based on the turnout, they say it could become an annual event.

Attendees had the opportunity for a private consultation with lawyers to talk about low-cost legal help and information on referrals.
