EDINBURGH - Interstate-95 was shut down today for a vehicle rollover which ejected two people.
Just after 3 pm today, rescue crews responded to mile marker 212 on interstate 95 northbound. State Police say a blue Ford Ranger was in the breakdown lane and tried to merge back into traffic. Another truck did not see it reentering and ran into the back of it, causing it to roll several times.
Both the driver and passenger of the Ford were ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was taken by life flight to Eastern Maine Medical Center with moderate injuries. The passenger had minor bumps and burns.
Maine State Police shut down a section of the interstate for about 45 minutes and drivers were asked to use route 2 to go northbound.
The accident is still under investigation.
