UMaine Students Prepare to Go Bald for Children's Cancer

ORONO - Dozens of University of Maine students will have a brand new, extremely sleek look in the weeks that lie ahead.  They'll be shaving their heads, all to raise money for children with cancer.

UMaine Circle K, a Kiwanis-affiliated college service organization will be holding their 3rd annual St. Baldrick's head shaving event... this year on May the 1st.  Circle K member and event organizer, India Stewart, shaved her head to raise money two years ago.  This year she will be doing the same in memory of her 13-year-old cousin, Aliza Stutzman who lost her battle with brain cancer, passing away in February.

The Maine Day event will be held at the Steam Plant parking lot from noon to 3 p.m...you can click here for more information.
