Bangor Gears Up for Inaugural Erin's Run

Bangor - A new road race in Bangor will raise money for women in need...

It's in memory of a young woman who died following a brave battle with cancer. Erin Woolley majored in women’s studies at the University of Maine at Orono and took a job working for Spruce Run in Bangor after graduation. She then enrolled in Vermont Law school.... planning on pursuing a career advocating for women. Now, organized by her friends and co-workers, the 5-k road race known as Erin's Run will continue her message. All proceeds from the race will be donated to Spruce Run, and a scholarship at the University through the swimming and diving team - of which Erin was a part. The race will be held along the Bangor waterfront on Saturday April 27th. For more information or to sign up visit www.ErinsRun.org.
