Acadia Rangers Investigating Damaged Trees Along Trail

ACADIA NATIONAL PARK -  National Park Rangers are looking for whoever cut down and damaged trees near a popular climbing spot in Acadia National Park.

Someone cut down four or five small trees and sawed limbs off eight more near the top of South Wall.

That's a climbing area south of the Precipice Trail on Champlain Mountain.

It's against federal law to do anything to change the landscape in Acadia or any national park.
