18th Annual "Hiking for the Homeless" Continues Saturday

BANGOR - The Bangor Area Homeless Shelter will continue their 18th annual tradition at the Bangor waterfront Saturday.

“Hike for the Homeless” will begin at 9:30 in Hamden and Hermon, and 10:30 in Bangor and Brewer tomorrow morning.

Funds raised from this event will help support the shelter's half-a-million dollar annual budget.

Dennis Marble, the shelter's director, says that homeless people want to feel like they are part of the community.

Donations are not required to participate but they are definitely encouraged.
