Bangor High School STEM Program Receives Grant

BANGOR - Bangor High School students in the STEM academy will be able to conduct extensive summer research internships, thanks to a major grant from one local bank.

The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation has provided $54,000 to be spread out over a period of 3 years, to fund stipends for students in the stem program ...who will be working with research mentors, many of them University of Maine faculty members, to study varying aspects of science.

The new addition to STEM, which started last fall, will be known as the Bangor Savings Bank Summer Research Internship Program.
