Activists Teach About a "Budget for All"

ORONO - Several concerned citizens gathered at the University of Maine today to explore what they feel might be alternatives to the future of the nation's economy.

Members of the newly formed Maine Alliance for the Common Good met for a "teach-in," which aims to discuss ways of challenging austerity... protecting the environment... and several other routes of activism related to the economy.  Two key note speakers addressed the group on how to educate... organize... and mobilize social and economic justice issues.

Along with the keynote speakers... the afternoon included a panel of activists and workshops with resources on specific campaigns.
