Mars Hill Man Sentenced 10 Years in Prison

AROOSTOOK COUNTY - A Mars Hill man is sentenced to 10 years in prison today for trying to hire someone to kill his ex-wife.
43-year-old Mark Stetson was sentenced today in Aroostook County Superior Court after pleading guilty in January to three counts of criminal solicitation of murder, robbery, and kidnapping.

Stetson was already in jail on charges connected to a dispute between his ex-wife in early 2011. It was at this point he asked another inmate to kill his ex, and if necessary tie up their autistic son.

Authorities say this plan was meant to look like a robbery.

In addition to the 10 years, Stetson was also sentenced to four years of probation.
