Bridgewater Crash Victims Escape Major Injuries

BRIDGEWATER - Four people escaped serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 this morning.
Authorities say Yvon Dube and passenger Jeff Pelletier of Frenchville were traveling southbound, when Dube lost control on the ice covered road.

Andrew McCluskey of Oakfield and passenger Dean McLaughlin of Dyer Brook, were traveling northbound when Dube's vehicle began to skid out of control.

McCluskey attempted to avoid a collision, but could not and struck the rear of Dube's vehicle.

Dube's 2008 GMC pickup then continued into a ditch, where it rolled over.

Paramedics transported Dube and Pelletier to the Aroostook Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

McCluskey and McLaughlin were unhurt. Both vehicles are said to be totalled.
