Maine Football Holds Annual Pro Day

ORONO - It's an annual right of passage for Maine Football seniors...It's Pro Day, a chance to work out for NFL scouts in hopes of becoming the next Black Bear to play pro ball.

A scout from the New England Patriots was on hand to take down the individual players results.  Results they have been training for since the regular season ended.  Maine has developed a strong tradition of players going on to the NFL, 11 in total were on rosters last year.  This season it appears OL Chris Howley, Bonny Eagle grad Josh Spearin and LB Donte Dennis attracted the majority of the attention after the workout concluded.   The NFL Draft will be held at the end of April.  Last year Jerron McMillan was taken in the 4th round by the Green Bay Packers.
