Detective Charged with OUI Back in Bangor Courtroom

BANGOR - A Bangor Police Detective, facing OUI charges stemming from an on-duty incident, was in court this morning.

Detective Erik Tall's trial was heard before a Bangor judge.

Two witnesses, both currently employed with Bangor Police, took the stand reliving the October 3rd day, where Detective Tall allegedly drove his police cruiser under the influence of alcohol while on-duty.

Testimony, this morning, revealed that an intoxilyzer test showed that tall was close to the legal limit, but wasn’t legally drunk.

No specific blood alcohol levels were mentioned today.

The proceedings will continue at a later date.

Despite his criminal charges, Tall did resign from his Detective position back in February
