Seniors Learn About How to Avoid Fraud

BANGOR - We can all fall victim to fraud...putting us at risk for identity theft.  Well today one group learned how to prevent this nightmare from coming true.
Seniors at the Hammond Street Senior Center had the chance to hear from experts as well as ask questions about the threat of fraud.  Panelists described some of the common scams criminals use to obtain personal information, which can lead to identity theft...and ways to avoid it from happening.
Volunteers from the Senior Medicare Patrol were on-hand to offer counseling for those who have been victims of fraud.

Erin joined the ABC-7 and FOX Bangor news team in February 2012.
