Governor LePage Promotes Maple Industry

AUGUSTA - Governor Paul LePage is showing his support for the maple industry on the front lawn of the Blaine House.
Today, the Governor, alongside Department of Agriculture officials and maple syrup producers, tapped a maple tree on the lawn of the Governor's home.
The tree tapping is an annual tradition which serves to promote Maine's Maple syrup industry.
The event is also a prelude to Maine Maple Sunday, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, on March 24th.
