Bangor Man Charged With Privacy Violation

On March 5, 2013 at about 9:45PM, Officer Richard Polk met with a 24 year old Bangor woman at the police department who wanted to report that her privacy was violated. The victim stated that she lives in an apartment building on Essex Street and while she was showering noticed that a cell phone was hovering above her in between the ceiling tiles. She stated that she tried to grab it but it was pulled back before she could get it. The victim stated a few minutes later a neighbor, Carl Farrar, 26, knocked on her door and apologized for what he had done and deleted images from the phone in an effort to comfort her.

Officer Polk went to the address, interviewed Mr. Farrar and summoned him for Class D Misdemeanor Violation of Privacy. His court date is April 1, 2013 at 8:30AM.
