Educators Learn About Opportunities in Healthcare

BREWER - Some local educators were learning about opportunities in the healthcare profession today.
It was all part of the "Building Bridges" program organized by the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce.
The idea is to show teachers, school counselors and others about growing industries in Maine- hoping they'll take that information back to their schools to inspire students.  The chambers, Matt McLaughlin says there's a big need for skilled healthcare workers and this is a great way to spread the word.

Along with seeing presentations from healthcare workers, the participants also took a tour of the Lafayette Family Cancer Center.
