The city's Operations Committee reviewed plans Monday evening, for the relocation of the park.
Possible plans include the Broadway or Williams Parks, or behind the Parks and Rec building.
And after two public comment forums, the parks department is nearly ready for the city council to take action.
Bangor Parks and rec director Tracy Willette said "We want to find a location that will be permanent, that we don't need to worry about having to move again. We had some good comments on all three locations."
The current skate park resides on Union Street, isolated from any residential areas.
